"Disappointment"

I've been a Madness fan for a long time now because it was an original and great series. I remember watching "Madness Apotheosis" (which, by the way, I think is your best in the series) and thinking how bad ass the flash is. From that point onward I watched all of your animations, and I throughly enjoyed them. But ever since Apotheosis the series has...more of less, changed.

The thing that made madness cool was that Hank would kill tons of people, swiftly, using different weapons, against impossible odds. You would expect him to kill three people with a gun, but instead he would do something like tip a soda machine on top of someone...instantly crushing them. It added a "whoah!" suprise factor. And with each new weapon he picked up you just felt more awesome, starting with a silenced weapon, to an ak 47, to a sword and an SMG. The buildup would end with Hank against a huge amount of enemies and one of the main antagonists, and generally a comical ending.

That "theme" has been slowly lost over the last few episodes. Now theres a story, and a reason as to "why Hank came back and kicked ass." The first episodes were nothing but Hank kicking ass trying to kill the Sheriff, with madness such as Jesus coming out of no where and attacking and at one point activating the improbability drive. Deaths were unique - the sun became a person and attacked him. It was funny. It was orginial. It was violent and cool. It was Madness!

This was different though. While the animation was smooth, and some of the kills were cool (such as hook kills and the whole driving scene.) There is stuff lacking. The series now has too much of a story. It's no longer Hank senselessly killing people, but Sanford and Deimos trying to revive Hank. Two of the biggest characters were completely missing, Jesus and Tricky. And while I like the Auditor, the "Madness" feel isn't the same. There is TOO MUCH of a purpose, TOO MUCH people that we aren't familar with, and not enough of Hank, the "run in the building and kill shit factor" and comedy.

In addition, the line between "Madness" and "Ridiculous" is a thin one here. The giant people need to go. That's not Madness. Thats stupid. And even the ending was disappointing. It not only ended with a cliffhanger (something the original episodes never had), but now Hank is twice his size with a GIANT GRAB ARM. It's ridiculous. Not epic. Ridiculous.

Comparing giant people, people with blood that makes this look like paintball, a giant crab arm, and completely new characters to the classic "run in a building and kill innocent people feel" you can easily see that the previous installments were better in almost every way.

The sad thing is that the series will be hard to turn around. You now have honest reviewers and fans (like me, I hope), a large cult group following you that will always give you a ten even if you were to submit shit, and a large group of people that are just going to trash you because they are jealous and want to see you fail.

I don't want the series to die, but at the same time, I don't want it to go in the direction it is going - downhill. That's my opinion.

Now let the cult downrate my review. Hooray!

Impressive work. You made the animation, short, funny, and to the point. Its definately one of the more original submissions here on Newgrounds at least. The only improvement would be making the flash a little longer, but thats just me. You'll do well in the contest at school if the judges have any sense of humor or concept of how difficult flash can be to create. If anyone has any idea, they'll realize the amount of time and effort you put into refining this into a worthy submission to Newgrounds.

Great game, can't get the sound working though. Overall I liked the game but found that it got boring after awhile. I would suggest adding the ability to move to a new building for a cost of money so that gameplay changes.

I share a sense of humor like yourself. It's a shame that the other reviewers didn't realize that this flash is meant to be ironic and in that case it is funny. I enjoyed seeing the flash you made, but even more so the number of angry reviews you have generated from people who completely missed the point.

It's a fun game that has decent graphics and high replay value. Unfortunately, there are many idiots on here that actually think this is true. If you REALLY believe that the Catholic Church is out to get little boys / girls, then you are a sad, ignorant person.

When first looking at this flash, I saw funny (and cute) drawn characters with half-decent animation. The song from Nick Jr. was a funny thing to make a flash about! What made this a really great flash however, was not the drawing skill or the song but the subtle jokes you added throughout the flash. (Pirate flag, ending, didn't know what to draw here, crappy eurodance music subtitle.) What really made this flash deserve a 10/10 5/5 favorite artist and flash was the song at the end in the credits.

I salute you, good sir. You are a winnar.

Bad game all around. If you wanted to make this game better you should improve your graphics. Obama looked stupid, and so did everyone else. Plus, when you make a biased game without having the ability to choose sides, it takes the fun away from it.
